Our team
EACT benefits from the expertise and wide-ranging experience of a management team which ensures that our academies follow proven best practice. The team also has access to specialist advisers and consultants.
Director General Sir Bruce Liddington joined EACT on February 1, 2009. The former Schools Commisioner for England was a senior civil servant and key adviser on the Government's academies programme. As a headteacher he transformed the failing Northampton School for Boys into one of the country's most successful state schools.
The educational experience of EACT's management team and board includes working successfully with underperforming schools at leadership, senior local authority, governor and community levels. Members of the EACT team have previously set up and run successful academies. This gives them a solid practical understanding of what makes a good school and the ability to make the changes required to achieve significant improvements.
